November flew by! I think the kids were so excited with it being Christmas next month that they forgot about this month! We didn't do much but hung out at the house played! The kid's love having a yard and their scooters, bikes, and jeep that they never want to leave. I, being a home body, am A OK with that! So here is a little of what we did.
Linc started getting really into Star Wars the past few months. All the neighborhood boys all have light sabers and run up and down the streets playing pretend! To me that is what being a kid is all about! Lincoln loved teaching our neighbor girl, little miss Sophia, the proper way to fight with a light saber. Complete with sound effects!
We are so lucky to live right next door to some of our really good friends. Rob and Val went to medical school with us and now we get to spend four more years with them in residency. We try to do swaps when we can so we can have a date night. On our date night Jared and I walked through this amazing outdoor mall that is about 10 min. from our house. One of my favorite stores ever is Williams and Sonoma. So of course we went in. I found these way cute Star Wars pancake molds! What kind of mother would I be if I didn't get them!!! Needless to say, the kids LOVED them!!!
In preschool Lincoln made this way cute Indian vest out of a T-shirt. He said they cooked it in Tea so that it looked like real leather, then they drew on them. He also made macaroni necklaces and a headdress. The staff had pushed all the lunch tables together and put Thanksgiving table clothes over them, and had all the kids eat their lunch together as pilgrims and Indians!! When I went to pick Linc up all the kids were still dressed up and Oh my gosh they were adorable!!!
Letting your little brother spoon you while watching cartoons = an awesome big brother!!!
Thanksgiving day came and Jared had to work, of course. We all planned to have dinner at our friends house and then all pitch in. There were five families all together, 4 being residence, and all had at least 2 to 4 kids!!! It was so much fun and the food was to die for! Jared was able to get off a few hours early and made it about mid way through dinner. We all walked away completely stuffed and ready to play games. There was so much going on that these were the only pictures I got the whole day! I am kind of say, but what can you do. Liam loved the trampoline and cried when I took him off. Hmmm I see a Santa gift in the future ;0)
A few days later it was time to decorate for Christmas. So we pulled out all the bins and got to work. The kids had so much fun. Liam had no clue as to what was going on. He kept trying to give the reindeer piggy back rides though. When Jared got home he started on the tree. I don't think this tree is going to make it another year. Most of the limbs were held together by branches from other limbs. But it worked and the kids had so much fun decorating. Liam was fasinated with the ornaments and wanted to help too. And he was oh so much help!
All in all we had a fantastic November!!!
