Our Sweet Little Baby!

Most of you know that we were able to find out the sex of the baby last friday! I thought I would blog our findings to ease a lot of curiouse minds and to keep you all posted on our little amazing baby. I went in that morning so excited. The good news is that Lincoln will have a little buddy:) Yes it is a boy!! The not so good news is that he has a lot of complications. He is missing one of his kidneys and the other is slightly dialated which means its a slightly larger than normal. He also has a disease called Omphalocele. This is where some of his insides are on the outside, I am also missing one of my umbilical arteries. They don't know the condition of his heart and that one kidney yet so keep your fingers crossed that they are ok. I had an amnio yesterday to check for nerological problems and should find out Friday or Tuesday. He put me on bed rest yesterday just for the day and I can't lift anything for a few days. So any of you who have lifted my little Lincoln know that this is going to be hard:)We are scheduled to do an echocardiogram friday the 5th to see if he has any heart problems and how his one kidney is doing. The omphalocele is pretty big but I did get some good news yesterday, my fluid look great so I was excited about that. This little baby is soooo active and is moving all the time! He is looking good as far as his size goes. Our hopes are high and we seem to be on our "knees" a lot. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for all of us and I have faith in his plan. I feel lucky to be trusted with such an amazing spirit. Thanks for all of your phone calls and support during this time. I will try to keep everyone updated.

Recipe #3 Italian Beef sandwiches!

This is another one of our favorites, and Ryan this is for you:)
If you love french dip sandwiches then you are going to love this one! It is sooo easy and the only thing that might be a little costly is the meat.

1 can (14.5 oz.) beef broth
2 garlic cloves minced or pressed
1 tsp. dried oregano
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 med. green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 lb. thinly sliced deli roast beef
6 hoagie or sub. rolls split

In a skillet, bring broth, garlic, oregano, and pepper to a boil. Add green peppers. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered until tender, about 5 min.
Remove green peppers and place on a plate, cover with foil to keep warm.
Return broth to a boil. Add roast beef, cover and remove from heat. Let stand only 2 min. or until meat is heated through.
I like to add butter and then toast my rolls. Add meat to the plate with the peppers and pour all that yummy liquid into dipping bowls for you sandwich. They put your Sandwiches together and enjoy!!!

A Day With Dad

After all our visitors left we had Saturday and Sunday with Jared all to ourselves!! He is almost done with his first rotation and will start OB after Laybor Day weekend. We decided to go to the Jefferson Memorial since we have not been there yet. It was such a nice day and I did pretty good that day as far as sickness goes. The kids ran all over the place and Jared of course chased them everywhere, they loved it. After that we went home to eat and then headed off to every kids favorite place, Chucky Cheeses!!!!

Nanna

So I think I have the best mom in the whole world!!! I love it when she comes to visit. There is just nothing like having your mom there. She makes everything better! As you can see the kids adore her and I think she kind of likes them too. I miss you mom!

Four Month Belly Shot

So here it is, me at four month prego with #3! The belly started making itself known about then. This is the biggest I have been at 4 months so far. Im starting to feel better but still hang low most of the time. The baby is VERY active and kicks and moves all over the place all ready!! Even Jared has felt it. CRAZY!!!

Visitors

We had a ton of visitor the latter part of July through the first part of Aug. It was busy but we LOVED it!! My sister Shalee and her awsome hubby Ryan came out and we went all over DC with them! It was so nice to spend time with them and the kids still ask where Aunt Shalee and Uncle Ryan, Or MaRyan as Linc likes to call him, it at. Im sure they will be happy to see them again next month when we go home to Utah!
The day before they left My Aunt Kathy came and brought my neice and nephew, Abbey and Aiden, with her to stay for the week. She came on sat. and left the next day. I was on my own with four kids till Thurs. when my mom got here. I was not feeling good at all almost the whole time they were here and was soooo glad that the kids played sooo well together! I took one whole picture that week and its of the kids and Jared playing pac-man!

My mom got here Thursday afternoon and she is WONDERFUL!!!! She stayed until the next Tuesday! Kathy came back sat. to pick up the kids. Her and my mom watched them while Jared and I went out for our 6th ann. They took us shopping and then we went to dinner. We had a blast! Thanks again Mom and Kathy!

The Joy Of Having An Older Sister

Lincoln has learned a lot from his big sis! How to "dress up" for a show, and how to apply toe nail polish so they sparkle just right!
