Yesterday Jared graduated medical school and I couldn't be more proud! Most of his family was able to be here and I know that ment a lot to him. That morning we all woke up and started getting ready. I ironed his robes, which Linc thought was a dress, and got the kids ready. Jared left for the metro at 11:30 and the rest of us followed at noon. With our tickets in hand we waited till it was time to go in.
We sat down and waited, and waited, and waited. Liam started screaming half way through so I took him out for a bit. Between Jared's Dad and I Liam was taken care of and we were able to watch him walk!
It was awesome to hear them say, "Dr. Jared P. Smith"! It took four years of a lot of hard work to be able to hear that, but it was worth it.
We made some amazing friends while we have been here and these four went through it all together! I'm going to miss them all!!!!
We then walked back to the metro and took more photo's......
While we waited for Jared to take his cap and gown back I wanted to get some photo's of the kids. Linc was not wanting to do this, but all it took was one pack of gum to change his mind!
Oh the amazing things a phone can do these days!
After a long and great day it was time to go home. One short metro ride and it was off to dinner to celebrate Dr. Jared Smith!
